No-Knead Bread

When we were cycling around the world, we made a deal about coming home.

The deal was this. When we got a house again, Andrew was going to become an ace baker, while Friedel did the cooking. Today, Andrew made a truly awesome loaf of bread.

No-Knead Bread

And the best part? It was really easy to make. You don’t even have to knead it! Just mix some flour, water, salt and yeast together, let it sit and bake!

Beautiful! I made quite a lot of no knead bread last year. I made whole wheat bread and also rye bread. All very tasty. (Now we have a bread maker… and less time at home due to our jobs. It is working better.) Well done, Andrew. 🙂

Lovely looking loaf. Inspired us to try the method out ourselves. Never made bread before and happy to say that we’ve done twp loaves now that have both come out great looking and tasting good. Thanks.

Yay! Great and easy bread reaches another home. Isn’t it wonderful? There’s another book we’re using, Artisan Bread in 5 Minutes A Day, which also has a lot of great no-knead recipes. The cinnamon rolls in it are to die for, but you have to cycle 100km to justify them.
