“Now age 47, with a re-discovered passion for cycle touring. I’m taking 6 months (possibly longer!) to travel around Europe on my own. Starting at the end of May 2012, I’m spending 3 weeks in the Netherlands, then heading to Arnhem to pick up the R1 Euro route to Berlin. From there it’s the River Salle cycle route through Germany, the River Main cycle route to the Rhine and the Glan-blies cycle route to France.”
“Then I’ll head to the coast for Euro Velo 8 to Cadiz in Spain, straight up the centre of Spain and France before finally arriving back home in Newcastle upon Tyne in the UK.”
