Eric & Elaine

Eric & Elaine

Eric & Elaine are school teachers who spend their summers touring. In 2010, they went from Pittsburgh to Washington DC and then back to Maryland, with a side trip to the Pennsylvania Pike-2-Bike trail. Over this 19-day trip, they covered 1,100 miles.

“A great trip: we camped all but two nights and, while we did not need to be, we were self contained with all of our food from the beginning,” Eric says. He adds that one unique event during the journey was when Elaine got a flat in a tunnel and they had to change it 1km underground!

I just bought a pair of used Giant Sedonas and want to tour. Your answers to a mere 10 questions confirms my thinking I can get my wife and I started here in the states. Looks like a wonderful way to spend 2 weeks. I’m thinking you both have pre mapped our route, thanks!
