Bike touring has become a way of life for Mirjam. She’s been on the road since 2001 and you can read about her travels on her blog, Cycling Dutch Girl.

“After a couple of years hitchhiking my way around Europe I picked up a bicycle and never looked back. I don’t have a strict plan, but ‘around-the-world’ sounds good to me…” she says.

“I’m not very fast, in fact I’m probably the slowest long-distance cyclist around because I get distracted easily… There is just so much to see and do! So far, I’ve cycled all around Europe from Morrocco to the North Cape and around the Baltic States to Istanbul. In 2007, I left Europe and made it to Australia in 2009, where I still am (told you I was slow). Anyway, the plan is to keep going untill I find something better to do.”
