Igel & Paola

Igel, Paola and Rambo (their rat terrier dog) have been cycling around the world since 2001. By 2009, they’d covered 29 countries, mostly in the Americas.

Now (in 2011) they’re heading from Germany to Asia, and they are going to change their vehicles as well: the next leg of the big journey will be on trikes with two dogs, with Rambo and his daughter Caramba! Follow their epic journey on their website: Grenzenlos (No Borders)

Jason Mcanuff

Posted December 3rd, 2010

This is Jason. He’s a Brit who, at the time of writing (December 2010), is on his way from California to Argentina on a virtual bicycle train. That’s his bike (named Montreal), plus a Bob Trailer, rear panniers, rear crate, front basket and a handlebar bag.

“I’ve been on the road 7 months now,” he tells us. “Actually I ride pretty fast, but spend A LOT of time off the bike, volunteering on farms, and community projects and whatever else sounds good. My passions off the bike are climbing and learning as much as I can about sustainable living, permaculture, farming and people.”

He has no deadline and will keep riding until the money runs out. Check out Jason’s website, www.bikingit.com

Jason leaves us with this thought: “When I’m on my bike, wherever I may be, I can’t help feeling like I have the world under my pedals, and not on my shoulders.”

His route has taken him across Canada, through America, into Mexico, Cuba, Jamaica, Haiti, the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Guadeloupe, Martinique, China and now Europe.

He still has Asia and the Pacific to go, on a journey that will take him until 2013 to complete.

Kevin is a retired teacher who now has the glorious job of travelling across America, riding bike trails and recording his experiences on his Trailsnet blog.

Kevin’s goal is to ride at least one major trail in each of the states. He uses a number of bikes when riding trails, including road bikes, mountain, hybrids and recumbents. He’d appreciate any feedback, so pop over and take a look at his Trailsnet site.
