Ask A Mechanic: Do wider tires let me carry more load?

By Friedel on 11th October 2010 in Ask A Mechanic

DSC_2298.JPGEver wondered what difference a slightly wider tire makes when you are touring?

Does it let you carry a heavier load? Does it help to make the ride smoother?
