Some insurers see bike touring as an extreme sport and won’t cover it. Others are unwilling to cover trips of more than 90 days. And then there’s all the small print…
That’s why we recently ran a survey of bike tourists who’d been on long tours to ask their advice. We had 25 answers from around the world and this helped us assemble an extensive list of possible insurers.
We also discovered that many people – a third in our survey – simply go without insurance!
