“I’m a serious bike geek,” says Andy. “Primarily a mountain biker but any two wheels will do. I only recently discovered the joy of riding off with everything you need to live strapped to your bike, knowing that if you wanted to you could just keep on going.”
The photo was taken on his second big tour, and his first time solo touring. Andy biked the GR99 along the Rio Ebro in Spain from Reinosa (south of Santander) to Riumar on the Mediteranean coast, south of Tortosa.
“It was a fantastic trip, mostly offroad or on rural dirt roads. I was travelling light with about 12kg (plus food and water) on my Singular Swift 29er mountain bike.”
