Christian is from northern Germany but like many other bike tourists, he feels more at home abroad. Recent bike tours have taken him through southern and eastern Asia.

In January 2008, he rode from Malaysia to Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia, Nepal and India. After challenging the higher roads in northern India, he returned home for the summer and his now planning more trips in Asia, basing himself in Nepal for trips out into the mountains.
