London Meet-Up For Bike Tourists
February 13th, 2010 6 comments
If you’re planning a bike trip, or have some knowledge to share, come join us and other adventurous souls in London next month.
Over a pint of beer, we’ll be happy to share what we know. Alastair Humphreys – who proposed the evening – will be there and plenty of other seasoned bike tourists are also going to try and make it.
The fun will take place on Tuesday, March 9th on the top floor of the Iron Duke Pub in Victoria Station, from 6:30pm until about 9pm. Hope to see you there!
And please, if you can, pass the message along via your own blog, Facebook and Twitter.

The more the merrier!
Can you guys set up another beer night later in the summer as I will be coming through London from Ireland and on my way to Singapore.
I’ve read both of Alistair’s books (also Rob Lilwalls) and of course all of the journal entries from the Travelling Twos so I feel I know you already.
My plan is to arrive in Dublin around early August, cycle around Ireland and then head to London before continuing on to Istanbul and then east.
Fred Bouwman
Fred, we don’t live in London so we’re unlikely to be there later this summer. How about you come through Den Haag (Holland) on your way across Europe and visit us there? We’re not far from Hoek van Holland, if you’re taking the ferry from Norwich.
Looking forward to meeting you all. One quick question – is there anywhere to securely park my bike at the pub?
David, I’ve never been there so I’m not the best person to ask. Maybe you want to hop over to Al’s site and ask him, since he picked the pub?
