Cycling in a Siberian winter isn’t everyone’s cup of tea but that’s exactly what Alastair Humpreys did with his friend Rob Lilwall in 2004.
They rode through frigid temperatures, grappled with broken bike parts as the cold set in (just imagine having to start a fire to fix a puncture!) and yet remember the trip fondly because of the kind people who welcomed them to this remote part of the world.
