A Bike Touring Year In Numbers
September 4th, 2009 13 comments
On September 4th, 2009 we completed our 3rd year of constant bike touring – the last of our trip around the world by bicycle.
To tell the story of one year of cycling, we’ve put together a little video slideshow of some of our favourite pictures and a few crucial numbers. Enjoy!

Where are you guys??? Have been waiting for an update!
Great slide show, guys! I hadn’t thought to count all the cups of coffee I’ve enjoyed on the road so far (I’m in my 3rd year of travel too)….guess I’d better get started!
Hi Jayme, we are in Ottawa. Should be in Montreal on the 9th, Quebec City on the 12th and hopefully with you about 10 days later!
Hi Andrew , just looked at the condensed version of the 3 yr trip,, Wonderfull
see you both soon,
PR
Beautiful photos guys! If it is actually possible for us to be even more excited about the road ahead, these helped
Congrats on 3 years!
Hi Andrew and Friedel,
Wonderful photos and great to hear your update. I look forward to the day when your book comes out!
Hugs,
Leslie
Wow! I didn’t know you would be here so soon! We are so excited to see you! Yay!
Great slide show … we may steal the idea when we get home! Now that you are close to home, are you having flashbacks from your years on the road? It’s only be 16 months for us, and I’m reliving the ups and downs with every pedal stroke on the road home!
The communication strategy of the trip is exceptional. I congratulate you both.
Wow!! What memories you are both going to have. It was a pleasure and an honour to have you spend time with us in NZ.
Big Hugs & safe travels for the short remaining time on the road.
Jenny & Jim

Wow – what stories you’re going to be able to tell in years to come. I hope we get to hear some in person sometime soon. Any plans to come back to the UK (even for a flying visit)? If not, we’ll just have to come over there and hunt you down!
